The Song Remains the Same is a concert film by the rock group Led Zeppelin. It was recorded at Madison Square Garden in New York City during the band's 1973 tour. The film features concert footage including an infamous thirty minute version of "Dazed and Confused" featuring guitarist Jimmy Page. It also includes other Zeppelin hits such as "Stairway to Heaven", "Black Dog" and "Whole Lotta Love". The four band members Robert Plant (lead singer), Jimmy Page (lead guitarist), John Paul Jones (bassist), John Bonham (drummer) and manager Peter Grant are featured in individual fantasy sequences. The film also features backstage footage in and around the venue as well as news footage regarding money that was stolen from the band's safe deposit box at their hotel during their three night stand at the Garden. The film was released in 1976.
